DIFFERENT MUSIC FOR DIFFERENT PEOPLE
As an artist who enjoys the comfort of being placed in a genre, Zee experienced some fear of singing and producing different music. People would take a listen to the music and enjoy the rhythm, the lyrics, the content but not know exactly what genre it fits in. Zee views about not feeling confident about what genre the projects should fit in speaks about this fear. "I wanted my music to be a definite artistic expression because abstract art was never my favourite. However, I had to be true to my Bahamian background and yet embrace the genres that I love. I think people can hear the diversity in my music." You will hear hints of rake and scrape, junkanoo, folk, hip hop, reggae, rock, and gospel music.
I'm a singer, songwriter, arranger, and producer who was born in The Bahamas but now lives in Canada. I enjoy doing my interpretation of each genre.
